Marcia Alford and Sue Kopacka are two fiber artists living in the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Eastern Tennessee and North Carolina.
We have been sewing and quilting individually and together for many years. We would like to welcome you to our site and show you some of our work.
Our work was for sale at Mountain Girl Gallery in Banner Elk, NC for 2 seasons and we also had many items for sale during 2012 at Those Were The Days, Antiques and Collectibles also in Banner Elk.
Sue has extensive knowledge of fiber and fabric from her many years of sewing and handweaving. She has owned and operated several businesses including bridal/formalwear and custom window treatments. Techniques from these diverse areas, coupled with her love of all things fiber/fabric, have continued to inform her style of quilting and current fiberart.
Marcia took a basic quilting class in 1983 and finally an outlet was found for her need to create. Women family members since Great, Great grandmother to Marcia have sewed clothing including making quilts. Marcia seems to have a flair for mixing colors for the quilt tops and really wants to "cover and warm " people with her quilts.
We are currently adding Fantasia Fibers to our site as Sue is returning to making Custom Window Treatments again. Photos will be added soon.
